
Garlic for health and medical benefits have long been known. Garlic has long been considered to be herbal “wonder drug” with the reputation for preventing everything from folklore to colds and flu to the plague! It is widely used in herbal medicine (phytotherapy, sometimes spelled phitotherapy). Raw garlic is used by some to treat the symptoms of acne, there are some signs that may assist in the management of high cholesterol levels. It may even be effective as a natural mosquito repellent.
In general, the garlic clove is more flavor and more sulfur in the more active properties, it is likely that they are. Some have claimed that organically grown garlic generally higher levels of sulfur, and thus greater health benefits. In my experience, the better the taste for the purchase of organic whenever possible, or is not best for my health.
Some people prefer to take garlic supplements. Tablets and capsules have the advantage of avoiding garlic breath.
Modern science has shown that garlic is a potent natural antibiotic, although a wide range and not a goal. The Authority does not appear that the resistance to garlic, to continue its positive effects on health over time.
Antioxidant Health
Studies have shown that garlic – especially aged garlic – can have a strong antioxidant activity. Antioxidants may help protect the body from harmful “free radicals”.
Adverse effects
Raw garlic is very strong, and that eating too much can cause problems, for example, irritation or even damage the digestive tract.
There are some people who are allergic to garlic. Symptoms of garlic allergy include skin rash, temperature and headache. Furthermore, garlic could potentially hinder the control of pectic substances, which are best avoided before surgery. As with any medicine, always consult your doctor before you tell your doctor if you are using galic.
